So far, so good.
I cannot speak to long-term durability, as I've only had this in use a few days. However, despite being thinner than previous chair mats, this is the first I have had made from this material, and it shows. I am a big guy and have this on a fairly deep-pile carpet, yet I am barely leaving a dent in it.

Works great on deep pile carpet
It works great . This is the 3rd chair mat we’ve tried. This one is the best. Pay attention to the warning instructions when cutting the binder. It will spring out flat instantly. A little surprising.
